Size From Your Smart Energy Monitor

Upload an Emporia Vue or Sense CSV export and size your backup power from your home's real measured demand, not nameplate guesses.

🇺🇸 Assumes US 120/240 V split-phase service (e.g. Emporia mains legs A + B).

Size from your real measured power

Most calculators make you guess from appliance labels. If you have a smart energy monitor in your panel, skip the guessing — upload your export and we'll size your backup power from your home's actual recorded demand.

What we support, honestly

We read Sense (the hourly CSV export, with its Total Usage column) and Emporia Vue (with its Mains_A/Mains_B leg columns in kW). We compute your real measured peak demand and baseline from the file. Because these exports are interval averages (hourly or per-minute), they don't capture the split-second motor inrush surge — so we add a surge estimate on top by appliance type, and label clearly which numbers are measured versus estimated. That keeps the recommendation honest and safe.

Analysis is based on the data in your file; accuracy depends on your monitor's resolution and how devices are labeled. Measured peaks reflect averaged intervals, not instantaneous inrush.
